As we all know, the best golf takes place on the biggest golf courses! The Masters was fantastic as always, but have you ever considered how long it would take to walk the course? You can expect the average golf course to be anything between 6,300 – 6,700 yards or so. Augusta National, however, is around 1000 longer than that at 7,510 yards. That’s about your local course plus another four holes!
With so much distance to cover in a day, caddies need to be active and light on their feet. But not only do they carry the bag, they offer superb insights and advice on each hole so you know how best to approach your shot.
Taking a caddie with you may be the best golf experience in terms of being as informed as possible while you play. To help you out, Motocaddy’s new S5 GPS trolley has so many features on-hand it’s like having your very own caddie with you as you tackle the course. Please read on as we delve into all the ins and outs of this swanky electric trolley.
We’ll start by going over the trolley’s name for a bit of clarity. The S5 GPS is Motocaddy’s latest entry in their S series range. Motocaddy has both an S series and an M series of electric trolleys. The S series have robust frames and are packed full of features, while the M series is a more compact alternative. The M5 GPS trolley would be a fantastic alternative to the S5 GPS if you’re looking for a really portable trolley.
If you’re not familiar with GPS, the acronym stands for Global Positioning System and is what’s used on car sat navs. Having given the product name a little more clarity, it’s clear that Motocaddy wants us to have as much reliable data and ease of movement as possible, and this trolley certainly delivers.
The trolley has a crystal-clear 3.5-inch screen on the handle where you can navigate and study a number of features, including the distances to the front, middle, and back sections of greens and nearby hazards. The fully-integrated GPS system has 40,000 pre-loaded courses and the screen displays a dynamic green view illustration where you can drag and drop pins to pinpoint your target.
You’re going to love having access to super reliable GPS data, plus the trolley also comes with an electronic parking brake so you can keep your gear steady and in one place whenever you feel like it.
A big part of what makes Motocaddy trolleys so beneficial is that they’re really easy to take transport to the course. This one has a simple 1-step folding system where you can tuck the handle down into the wheels to make the whole trolley flat and horizontal, perfect for sliding into the boot of a car.
The battery is really easy to charge and take care of too. The charging system features Motocaddy’s signature CLICK ‘N’ CONNECT® cable-free battery that you can plug in to charge and disconnect effortlessly. Once fully charged, the battery should last for up to 36 holes.
The trolley also features Motocaddy’s Easilock™ technology, which has been designed so that your bag slots easily into place and stays in place. You won’t have your bag sliding about as you play your round. The wheels are incredibly sturdy with plenty of tread, and can handle any terrain you’ll encounter on the course.
To keep your game even more enjoyable, Motocaddy have a variety of trolley accessories available, including an umbrella holder, scorecard holder, and drinks holder.
While the S5 GPS is a brand new release for this year, Motocaddy has a whole range of reliable and durable trolleys to choose from. This includes more affordable push trolleys such as the Z1 and CUBE, as well as other electric trolleys including the M1 and M3 GPS.
