It's frightening to think that in 6 weeks it's Christmas! I think it's fair to say this year has gone pretty quick. This is the time of year that people start planning Christmas presents and for that golfer in your life, we have everything! Be sure to treat them this Christmas with lessons or vouchers for the range and course.
Now I've mentioned Christmas, let's crack on with the news from this week. Enjoy your week and the read.
Last Sunday was the member's annual presentation day and this involved celebrating their success over the past year. The presentation included the 'board' competitions for the year and those lucky winners will have their name up there for life amongst past winners and of course the monthly medals. As you can see from the picture there was a lot to give out.
Along with the presentation there was a fun, friendly 5 club competition beforehand and a BBQ afterwards cooked by David and Benj with a guest appearance from David's wife Jane who lent a hand! Many of the members turned up and thoroughly enjoyed a beer and a burger as well as the golf of course!
On behalf of us here at MGC I would like to thank all members for their continued support in the competitions and massive congratulations to all winners.
October Weekend Medal
A strong field entered October's end of month medal and it was eventually Andy Wall who emerged victorious with a terrific nett 59! Giving him a comfortable two shot victory over Simon Fagg who had a very respectable nett 61. Both Andy and Simon have had their handicap reduced which is brilliant news, massive congratulations to those two and well done to all that played.
