We've been basking in some glorious weather this past week and it's been great to see lots of you on the course and driving range, and it's always nice to welcome back some of our visitors who hibernate for the winter but are now reappearing with the warmer weather.
The good news is that this warmer weather has led to an increase in soil temperatures so that the specific turf we require for the sixth green is now being cut and should be with us to be laid at the end of the month.
We've been receiving some great, and kind comments about our golf course in recent weeks and the greens in particular are running really well. We are very lucky to have a great team of greenkeepers, ably lead by Jim Cole - you may have noticed a new addition to our staff recently. Dean Tite has joined us as a greenkeeping apprentice, studying Sports Turf management through Myerscough College he will be backing this up with on course learning. We wish him all the best and he's looking forward to meeting all of our customers.
Some of you have been asking if we have moles on our driving range! Fortunately not, the long trench through the driving range is to accommodate our new electric supply to the Adventure Golf area. As well as supplying power to the various water and sound features on the Adventure Golf course it will also be feeding the floodlights which will light the course and short game area.
On the subject of our Adventure Golf, the feedback we have had about this has been fantastic and 100% positive. It's going to be an amazing facility for the local area and hopefully the recent delivery we've received as shown in the picture gives a small taste of what's to come.
If you haven't already, keep an eye on our dedicated Adventure Golf Facebook page
This week we took delivery of a new batch of short game balls to ensure you have the best experience when looking to improve your short game. These Srixon Soft Feel balls are exactly the same as you can use on the course and are ideal for chipping and putting.
