Welcome to another one of our weekly newsletters! With the clocks due to go forward this weekend, this means we lose an hour of sleep! But it's not all bad news, it also means that the evenings will be lighter so you'll be able to get that quick round of golf in after work! Enjoy the read this week.
Over the past few weeks we have been running a 'Bag Trade In' offer here at MGC. This promotion is designed to give you a great opportunity to upgrade your golf bag this spring! We offer this fantastic offer on any bag from Cleveland/Srixon and TaylorMade. So be sure to replace your bag before the end of this week to get the most out of this offer as it MUST end this week!

Shoe Trade In
As you may know every now and then we have a fantastic offer for you if you are looking for a new pair of shoes. You need to 'treat your feet' as you spend a lot of time in your shoes during a round of golf. We are pleased to announce the 'Shoe Trade In' offer across our range of shoes here at MGC that will start tomorrow (Friday).
You can receive up to £20 for your old shoes, so it makes that special new pair slightly cheaper for you!
Pay us a visit in the pro shop to find out more.
Shortgame Area Update
As I hope many of you are aware, last week I mentioned about our Adventure Golf Course being developed here at MGC. In the mean time we are also taking the time to revamp our shortgame area. We have introduced a new 'Pot Bunker' and as you can tell from John and Keely standing in it; it's DEEP!
This is going to make practice a little trickier, realistic and more relatable. We hope to have these new facilities open as soon as we can, but please bear with us while we make these changes. Good luck.
Ray 'Raymondo' Halsey
It is with great regret that I bring you the sad news that Ray sadly passed away in the early hours of Sunday morning after being unwell for a period of time. Ray was a very popular and well liked gentleman here at MGC, he was the course marshal for many years and also came up with the idea of our Winter League competition, which will now be renamed the 'Ray Halsey Cup'.
Ray was loved by the staff and members and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He would always pop in for a coffee and always had a story to tell and that will be deeply missed.
This man will be truly missed, Rest In Peace.
The funeral will be held at Margate Crematorium on Wednesday, 1 April at 2pm if you wish to attend. In the meantime, if you would like to make a small donation towards some flowers; please see a member of staff.
