Launch Weekend

We would like to thank everybody who has come along and tried the new Toptracer ball tracking system on the driving range. We have had an unbelievable reaction with many of you downloading the app and getting yourself on the leaderboards, playing different courses and utilising the fantastic in my bag features.

We have a great launch event lined up for this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You’ll be able to compete for great prizes on the nearest the pin competition, enjoy FREE samples from our new range menu and relax with bar service to your range bay. Best of all enjoy the new Toptracer tech and check out some other additions we’ve made that you’ll have to come along to see! Our team of PGA Pros will be on hand to offer advice on using the system and FREE tips.

Junior golf

Successful Junior Launch Event

Saturday 30th March saw the launch of Manston and North Foreland’s joint junior golf venture. PGA Professionals Matt Hart and Keely Chiericato have combined their current junior sections and looked to recruit new juniors to get into golf.

It was a fantastic morning which saw 38 juniors arrive for a morning of fun and games using the short game facilities and the new Toptracer which is proving to be extremely popular. Refreshments were provided after the session for junior golfers and parents to discuss the new planned structure which can be seen by clicking here.

Boa constrict your footwear

There's been two major trends in the golf footwear market in recent years: the first is the surge in spikeless shoes, and the other is Boa. So, what actually is the Boa Fit System and is it anything to do with snakes?

Make your putting fun

Have you ever found yourself on the green with an outside shot of birdie, only to go and three-putt? Yep, we’ve all done it, however, if the thought of heading to the practice green hardly fills you with excitement, why not try a putting game to increase the fun?

1st one in wins

Ramp up the pressure with a playing partner on the practice green with a game of first one in wins. The premise is simple:

Pick two holes that are 10-foot apart
You and a playing partner stand at opposite ends (as per the picture above)
Hit putts at the same time to the other hole
Every putt that is holed is worth one point
First to three points wins

You will be amazed at how quickly you dial your putts in under pressure. Just remember, if you’re the winner, make sure you get your playing partner to treat you to a drink in the clubhouse after your round.

Spotlight: Callaway Apex (2019) irons

Irons usually get updated every couple of years, so why did it take Callaway over three years to bring a new Apex iron model to market? Well, quite simply, the Apex CF16 was a brilliant iron that took a while to improve upon.
