Range news

Toptracer

Wow, what a week it has been! As we announced on Monday we have added Toptracer ball tracking technology to every bay on the driving range. It’s been a busy week with data cables, power lines, cable and cameras being installed, but by Thursday afternoon the system was ready to go live and start tracking shots!

The initial reception by our users has been overwhelming – with everybody being bowled over by the quaility and accuracy of the technology and the accuracy and speed of the readings.

Not only does Toptracer track your shot accurately it has lots of other great features all ready for you to explore!

Launch Monitor – A comprehensive training mode allowing you to hone your skills by offering data such as distance, ball speed, launch angle, height, side deviation, landing angle, hang time and distance to target.

Closest to the Pin – There’s nothing like a little friendly competition to get some excitement going. This game allows you to compete against your friends to compete while working on your swing.

Virtual Golf – This mode gives you the option to play some of the worlds greatest courses direct from your bay. Play a full 18 holes or just a selection without leaving the range.

Points Game – Compete for points based on distance from target, great if you like a friendly a challenge and target orientated practise.

Longest Drive – Who hit the farthest? Up to 8 players can compete for bragging rights, accuracy is called for too though as only shots in a specified area count. Ideal for driver practise too.

Michael Wells has been working hard on his game with PGA coach John Brotherton – John has been focusing mainly on the backswing and Michael has seen a total transformation in consistency and enjoyment from the new position he is getting to.

Junior golf

Junior Launch Day

Our junior section is relaunching this month and will see the excellent facilities and coaches at Manston and North Foreland working closely together to provide the ultimate junior offering.

We will be running a Junior Open Day on Saturday 30th March, which as well as being completely FREE promises to be great fun for children of all ages.

So if you have any children who would like to get in to golf, of perhaps some who have tried it before and want to take it a stage further please come along on Saturday 30th at Manston from 10:00 – 12:00.

It's certainly a lot easier to play better golf when you feel good about yourself and your game. Whilst you might not always be 'on-the-money' with your swing, you certainly have no excuse when it comes to what you're wearing.
