Tour news

A Hat-trick for Koepka

The final men’s Major of the year has been and gone and it produced another enthralling watch. A packed leaderboard including the likes of Adam Scott, Jason day and Rickie Fowler to name a few. Tiger Woods carried on his recent resurgence and if you had offered him a round of 64 on the final day, he would have thought that would be enough to claim his 15th Major. However, it was only good enough for second place as Brooks Koepka held his nerve once again to claim his second Major of the year.

Koepka began his professional career in Europe and went through the Challenge Tour and European Tour before establishing himself on the PGA tour in recent years. He has four wins on the PGA tour now and three of them are Majors, that’s not a bad ratio!

Away day news

Broome Park Away Day

Our final Away day of the year is upon us and there is still time to sign-up. Following on from the successful days we had at Princes and Sene Valley, Broome Park plays host to our final outing off the year on Tuesday 11th September. The day will cost £35 and that includes a meal of Ham, Egg and Chips and prizes to be won.

Tee off will be from 11.30am on the day and is welcome to all, although spaces are limited so if you would like to book your place don’t hesitate to give us a call on 01843 590005 or pop in-store.

Working Hard Throughout The Summer

Our very own John Brotherton and Caroline Richardson have been working together throughout the summer with increasing success which culminated earlier this week with Caroline and her Partner winning the ladies invitation day at St. Augustine’s with an excellent 45 points, two clear of their nearest challengers.

Together they have been working on an improved position at the top of the swing which can clearly be seen from these before and after pictures. This has enabled Caroline to drive the ball significantly better and use her fairway woods for the first time in many years. It’s certainly paying off with lower scores, tournament victories and more enjoyable golf!
