Get In To Golf - FREE Open Day This Saturday At Manston Golf Centre

This Saturday (7th June) Manston Golf Centre is hosting a GET IN TO GOLF open day. This is an ideal opportunity to get back in to golf if you are a lapsed or infrequent golfer, or get your game on the right track if you are a beginner.

PGA Professionals John Brotherton and David Vernon will be running a FREE clinic between 13:00 - 15:00 to get you started on the right track. Meanwhile throughout the day we'll be offering FREE CLUB HIRE on the driving range so anybody can come and "have a go". If you're an established golfer then please forward this to anybody you know who might benefit from this experience. Our Junior Passport Group Takes To The Course

Our Junior Passport golfers have been making great strides this year, and last Sunday they took their first steps on to our golf course. PGA Professional Ben Vernon set the course up so that all the holes were played from a tee that made the hole length appropriate to each childs age and ability. Ross (pictured), Leo, Kyle, Ollie and Bailey all played fantastically well and had a great time too. The highlight of the day was Ollie making an excellent par 3 on the 3rd hole - his 3 wood took him to the edge of the green and a decent chip followed by a 15 foot par putt left him with an excellent 3! Very well done.

As you can see from the picture of Ross, all of our young golfers are coming on really well and no doubt we'll be reporting more success on the golf course very soon.

Junior Academy Mid Week Medal

On Wednesday, members of our junior academy took to the course to compete in June's midweek medal. Very well done to Lee Monaghan whose gross 44 left him with a nett 31, and a 3 shot win from Joe Elmore.
