David Vernon is continuing to see great success from those taking lessons with him.

Last week in the monthly medal at Manston Golf Centre, Dan Cook fired a stunning 77 to take first place, with Myles Cronin taking second with a gross 79. Dan has been having regular lessons with David since Christmas as he signed up to his unlimited coaching package. He has been working extremely hard on his game, and is certainly reaping the rewards as his handicap has now dropped from 28 to 17! Very well done!

Myles meanwhile has also been having regular lessons with David, and last week took the opportunity of a custom fit session on his irons. A week later, his new Adams Idea irons arrived and they certainly seem to be doing the trick as his second place has seen his handicap tumble by two shots.

This month you can help to grow the great game of golf that we all love. On Saturday 7th June Manston Golf Centre is hosting a "Get In To Golf" open day. Specifically designed for those new to the game or looking to take it up for the first time, we'll be offering FREE tuition throughout the day as well as driving range happy hours and great introductory membership deals. So please send anybody along who you know that you think would like to get involved in golf.

Our junior coaching continues to go from strength to strength - if you're on the driving range on a Saturday or Sunday morning you can see some fantastic swings from children as young as 4! What's more they're all having a great time.

Our junior sessions are open to all children aged 4 years and over - no need to book just come along and get involved.

This Sunday, PGA Professional Benj Vernon will be taking a group of juniors from the Passport group on to the golf course for their first experience of playing on the course. We're setting up a specially devised course configuration with age appropriate hole lengths so the children all enjoy themselves, and play a course which has been set up relative to their age and ability. We'll report back with how they get on next week.
