Paul Ludlow storms to win November Weekend medal 

Paul started to have lessons with Max around three weeks ago. In that time they have spent a lot of time working on his swing path and using our FlightScope launch monitor to back up his out-to-in swing path. After spending some time working on this Max managed to help Paul get his swing path travelling more in-to-out and increased his club head speed, this resulted in Paul gaining an extra 20yds with his 7iron! 

Max and Paul have both seen a massive improvement in Paul's golf and managed to win this month's weekend medal with a nett 54! Winning by 5 shots!! Congratulations Paul, keep up the good work!

November Weekend Medal Results 

Saturday, 21 November was the day of this weeks monthly medal and plenty turned up to battle the wind in order to win the competition. David Houseman was first in with a superb nett 59 and must've felt like he had it won. He would've won this month if it wasn't for a superb nett 54 by Paul Ludlow to take the crown! Paul is currently having lessons with our PGA Assistant Max Brackley and clearly the lessons are paying off. 

Congratulations to Paul, David and to all those that played. Thank you for your continued support.


 

Christmas Trees on Sale 

If you've driven past the bottom of our drive over the past week, you will have noticed lots of Christmas trees and a few cold people selling them. Once again Dorman's are selling their Christmas Trees here at MGC. 

These trees are of unbelievable quality and will make an excellent addition to any house this Christmas, and better still they're very well priced. 

Here's our 6ft Nordman Fir tree in pride of place in the shop.

Continuing the Christmas theme, our elves have been busy this week preparing Santa's Grotto in our Rascal Bay Adventure Golf Course. 

Santa will be in his grotto every weekend from Saturday 5th onwards from 10:00 - 16:00. We are taking bookings or you can just come along. 

A visit to the grotto is just £10 and includes time with Santa, a round of Adventure Golf and of course a great present! 

Santa will be in his Grotto on the following dates:

More exciting news……. 

If you've been at the golf centre this week you will have noticed building work going on at the end of the driving range within the coaching bays. We're delighted to announce that from the New Year we will be hosting the first Warren Bennett Golf Academy. 

Over the next two weeks the scene shown in this picture will be transformed into two state of the art coaching and fitting studios - with the latest FlightScope launch monitor and C-Swing analysis cameras.

We're very excited to be working with Warren Bennett in this development. Many of you will have seen Warren practicing at the golf centre in recent years and his reputation speaks for itself, just a few of his achievements are:

- 1994 Silver Medal Winner for leading amateur at The Open
- 1994 Australian amateur champion 
- 7 Challenge Tour victories 
- Played on European Tour between 1999 and 2004 
- Scottish PGA Champion 
- Highest finish of 29th on European Order of Merit
