Another week has come around and that can only mean one thing, another one of our newsletters! With the weather being absolutely perfect over the weekend it was the perfect way to open 'Rascal Bay' our very own Adventure Golf Course. From 10am the course was packed with families enjoying it as well as a lot of adults! It is great fun and I urge you to come and give it a go! Enjoy your week!

It's getting to that time of year when the weather is great and you might have found yourself wondering what to do for the day, well we could provide the answer! Whether you play golf or would just like to give it a go then this is for you! 

On Sunday, 12 July our PGA Professional Keely Chiericato is running a FREE coaching session between 10-11am. This is a great opportunity to bring along family and friends to experience or practice their golf and better still it's all FREE! 

During the session there will be chances to win a FREE lesson as well as a years membership, six lessons and a brand new set of golf clubs all FREE! This is definitely worth doing.

Johns Game Improvement Champion Update 

This week's weak point that we were looking at in Scott's game was his bunker play. 

On the assessment form that we went through at the beginning, his bunker play was his second weakest section. When we look at the next picture it is very easy to see why Scott was having so many problems. 

His weight was too much on his right foot, the ball was too far back in his stance and his stance was too open. 

In the past Scott never moved onto his front foot for any of his shots so he couldn't afford to have the ball in a better position, also in his mind he was trying to 'scoop 'the ball out, hence the weight on the back foot. 

As you can see from the next picture we have squared the stance a little, moved the weight further forward and moved the ball further forward. 

For the last few weeks we have been working on weight transference and now that Scott has set-up better and is swinging through the ball and not 'at it', all of a sudden he is smiling in the bunker and surprising himself as to how easy it is to get out of a bunker with the right set-up and his new swing.

"After spending more than one shot in every bunker that I have been in recently it was quite a new experience to be out in one shot. John made this possible by his insightful knowledge of how I should be doing it. The man is an absolute marvel."

A Good Week for our Pro's on the Course 

This week our staff experienced great success on the golf course in a couple of Pro-Am's. 

Keely was playing in the Sittingbourne and Milton Regis Pro-Am where she shot -3 and won! A very good round by Keely which included no fewer than 6 birdies and a bogey on the back 9 to give her a share of first place. 

Meanwhile just down the road Benj was taking part in the ladies Pro-Am at St Augustines. 5 birdies and two bogeys later, Benj also shot -3 to also give him a share of first place and his first professional win! 

Congratulations to both and best of luck to Keely who is away in Sweden this week!
