Hello and welcome to another one of our weekly newsletters here at MGC! With The Masters upon us we hope this has inspired you to get the clubs out and see if you can become the next McIlroy or Woods! So will Rory complete his grand slam of majors? And will Tiger make the cut? We'll have to wait and see on Sunday. In the meantime we bring you the latest news here at MGC. Enjoy the read.
As I hope many of you are aware, over the past month we have had a Masters sweepstake running in the pro shop at a cost of £5 per square or alternatively you could buy 5 squares for £20! Well the draw is now done and you can see who you've been given, and a lucky someone has managed to draw Rory! This must mean they stand a very good chance on winning the custom fit driver that's up for grabs for 1st place!
If you purchased a square or two be sure to check who you've got because come Sunday you could have won an excellent prize!
To check who you've got, please contact the pro shop or pop in to see us. Best of luck and enjoy The Masters!
Max wins Winter Series Order of Merit
Max was away last week playing two tournaments the first of which was the EuroProTour School in which the top 42 golfers at the end of 36 holes advanced to Final Qualifying School which takes place on the 8-10th April.
The first round was played in winds up to 55mph and the scoring reflected the difficulty of the conditions, after the first round the top 42 was +6. Max got off to an extremely slow start with an outward 9 of 42 leaving him +6 through 9, after a solid back nine of 37.
Max finished the day with a +7 just outside the top 42.
On day two the weather calmed down a touch. Knowing he needed to play well he fired a front nine of 34 and again struggling with the same nine holes as the front nine on day one, he returned home in 40 giving him a score of +9 which qualified in 32nd place which gets him through to final stage this week at Frilford Heath.
Thursday saw Max compete in the last of the Titleist and FootJoy Winter Series events and the last event that counted to the order of merit. Laying in 3rd going into this event Max needed a strong round to make up enough ground on the guys above him. Feeling good after two days of playing golf in a row. He played fantastically tee to green giving himself 17 birdie putts and never putting himself in any trouble off the tee. He fired a 66 to finish 2nd in the tournament and with the guys above him not performing their best he managed to win the Titleist and FootJoy winter series.

All the features have now been dug and the concrete has started to turn up. This is exciting news and a lot of work has been done in a short period of time. Bear with us whilst we make these changes and I'll keep you informed of the progress of our Adventure Golf.
