Two weeks ago we wrote about how Michael and Max had visited PING's European headquarters, one thing they learnt was how the founder of PING, Karsten Solheim, was first inspired to build custom fitted clubs.
Being a glasses wearer, he was quick to make the comparison that while his glasses were customised to his particular requirements and wouldn't work for another glasses wearer, the same didn't hold true for golf clubs. Indeed he would see scores of golfers on the practice ground from 5ft 6" to 6ft 5" all using the same "size clubs". He quickly set out to devise a custom fitting system to allow all golfers to be fitted for a set of clubs to suit them. This was back in the 1960's, and now almost every set of clubs we sell is custom fitted in some way - be it length, lie angle, shaft type or even just grip size, no two people are alike.
As part of our continued commitement to custom fitting we've added a new brand to our portfolio of options - PGA Collection.
PGA collection make a fantastic range of irons, hybrids, fairways and woods - and are the only clubs endorsed by the PGA.
Best of all we can now offer through PGA Collection a fully custom fitted set of irons for as little as £199 (3 hybrid, 4 hybrid, 5-SW).
We believe that everybody should have the opportunity to use clubs fitted to them regardless of budget.

Our FREE grip offer in conjunction with Golf Pride has been fantastically popular, we do though still have some grips left to give away! Many of you were asking last week what the catch was? We can assure you there's no catch - while stocks last, anybody is entitled to have one of their irons regripped FREE of charge. Just pop in and let us do this while you wait and also advise you on appropriate size and grip type.

PGA Professional coach John Brotherton is continuing to have great success with his clients. Here's what he had to say about one of his tutee's, Stuart:
"Stuart booked in a short game lesson at the beginning of February and enjoyed it so much he booked in another lesson on the full swing. When I last saw him he informed me that his best score round Boughton had been 106, but since the two lessons he has beaten that by 10 shots shooting 96 which is his best ever. Not surprisingly he was very happy when he told me, so well done Stuart"

Next week Keely Chiericato and Max Brackley will both be in competing in the PGA Winter Series event at The London Club. Keely will be looking to follow up on her solid performance last week at The Berkshire where she finished 12th out of a field of 75. While Max is still in with a chance of winning the order of merit, he lies just £45 behind current leader Scott Stevens of Staplehurst Golf Centre as they go into the penultimate event. You can follow their progress by clicking here -
It's a busy week for Max as he's then playing a Players Tour Event on the Tuesday.
