The R15 driver from TaylorMade is now in our fitting cart and initial reaction from customers has been fantastic. Our first fitting with it delivered an extra 20 yards for our delighted customer.
Available in both white and black finishes the R15 follows on from the success of the SLDR, but with even more adjustability.

Titleist 915 Hardware
Also arriving this week were the new Titleist 915 range of drivers, fairways and hybrids.
Traditionally Titleist has been viewed as a lower handicappers club - great looking but perhaps not as forgiving as other brands. The 915 incarnation is as good looking as you would expect from Titleist, but is a genuinely forgiving and powerful club. So if you've always wanted to try a Titleist but wasn't sure if it was for you, then there has never been a better time to come and see for yourself just how good these woods are.

Monthly Medal Results
Strong winds made for tough scoring in this months midweek medal, however Michael Whyte showed the way with a fantastic nett 61 which gave him a 7 shot win from Stephen Rowe and Richard James in second place - and in the process reduced his handicap from 23 to 21.
1st - Michael Whyte - 84 Nett 61
2nd - Stephen Rowe - 87 Nett 68 (on countback)
3rd - Richard James - 82 Nett 68
Changes on the Golf Course:
Last week we had an update about the new green being built on the 6th and advising that we had engaged Peter Sparks to manage the build. We've actually been able to bring the scheduling of this job forward so it is now due to commence on Friday, 23 January. We will of course do all we can to reduce any disruption and have the new green in play as soon as possible. Regular updates will be posted.
With the exception of last Thursday when the rain was incessant we remain on full greens and the course is playing very well.
A popular option at this time of year for many golfers is our 2nd club membership. For just £69 if you are a member of another club you can become a 2nd club member at Manston. This entitles you to members rates on the course, driving range and short game area. A 9 hole round can therefore cost you as little as £2 depending on the time of day you play.
Even though the weather is not always the best at this time of year the course can often be busy with golfers from other clubs who aren't able to play their own course. We'll always take pay and play golfers, but we would encourage you to call ahead and book at time to avoid any delay for you.
