This week we have launched our new email newsletter. This new email is fully responsive in design, so irrespective what digital device you are using the content will adjust accordingly, giving a perfect display every time.
This will allow you to read our weekly words of wisdom from the comfort of, for example your sofa, office or even a train. We look forward to any feedback you may have so please let us know what you think about our new email and website.
Our coaches are consistently delivering great results for their clients - none more so than the work Keely Chiericato has been doing with 14 year old Jack Midgley. Keely has been coaching Jack for just over 6 months now, in particular she has been working on his weight transference and getting his bottom half rotating. As well as working on Jack's swing on the range, Keely has been spending time on his short game as well as sessions on the golf course. It's all paid off for Jack as he recently won a full competition at his home club of Westgate with a fantastic score of 45 points - and his handicap is tumbling!
If you haven't had a lesson at Manston before Keely and our other coaches David Vernon and John Brotherton are offering a 1st lesson for just £9.99. If you'd like to see how we can improve your game click here for more information or give us a call on 01843 590005.
Some weeks ago we asked you to participate in a survey to determine which hole on the course you find the hardest. We had a great response, and every hole on the course received at least one vote. Ultimately though it was the 9th hole which gathered the most votes, with the 7th and 3rd in second and third place. Although not the longest of par 4's, the 9th has a tricky tee shot with water in play, and a second shot to a well bunkered green. We asked PGA Professional Aaron Galbraith to give us the low down on how to approach the hole - whether laying up off the tee or taking on the water:
Check out his video here:
As you'll see from Aaron's video, the course is in great condition at the moment. Hopefully we've seen the end of the record rainfall that has been such a feature of January and February. Despite the rain the course has remained open with trolleys being allowed, and only the occasional temporary green. As we start to approach the "season" we'd definitely recommend booking a tee time, either give us a call on 01843 590005 or online here. Once you've registered for online booking you'll be able to take advantage of some great online discounts as well.
Not only has Keely been busy running our Saturday morning junior sessions, she's also been out in the local community taking golf to local primary schools. She's currently working with Palm Bay and Northdown schools, and last week she welcomed Northdown to the golf centre for a session on the range.
As an approved Golf Roots centre, we're committed to introducing golf to as many children as possible. If you'd like to see golf in your childs' school make sure they contact Michael or Keely for more information.
These sessions run every week and are open to all children - no need to book Sessions run every Saturday from 10:00 - 11:00 and cost just £6, all equipment is provided.
