Despite the mixed weather, we're now well into the golf season and we've got an extremely busy week coming up here at Manston.
Head academy coach Warren Bennett has been working tirelessly recently to devise the ultimate academy programme for junior golfers.
The result is superb and we can't wait to show it off to everybody at our FREE Junior Open Weekend this coming Saturday and Sunday.
Throughout the weekend Warren and his team of coaches will be on hand to give out FREE lessons, guide children through fun games and challenges.
This is a great opportunity to bring any children you know who may have even the slightest interest in golf along and see if this great game is for them and the various coaching options we have for them at Manston.
The academy programme Warren has designed is second to none in detail and is perfect for aspiring juniors of any standard.
Academy members will receive - their own binder to track their weekly progress in, WBJA shirt, cap and ball marker. As well as use of the state of the art academy facilities, MGC membership and half price range balls...
Please come along to our FREE junior open weekend, Saturday and Sunday 10:00 - 18:00, all equipment provided...
A successful week for Max at the Orchid Scottish Masters - Montrose Links
As well as being busy coaching and fitting, Max is also competing on the extremely competitive EuroPro circuit. This week he was off to Montrose Links to compete in the Orchid Scottish Masters.
Max quickly put an indifferent front nine behind him to fire a back 9 of just 29 in the first round to shoot a stunning 66. He followed this up with rounds of 69 and 71 to finish in a tie for 6th from an extremely strong field.
Max is back for a busy weekend of coaching now, but he continues his travels next week as he heads to Dumbarton for the Motocaddy Masters.
Keely hasn't been in action this week, but like Max she has a busy week coming up, on Monday she competes in Open qualifying and following that she's off to Sweden for the latest LET Access Tour event - we wish the both them best of luck!
Putting Clinic with John Brotherton This Saturday John is running one of his ever popular putting clinics. Just take a moment to think about which club you use more than any other - without a doubt it's the putter.
£20 for John's clinic could be a very wise investment and a great way to shave shots of your game.
The clinic runs between 10:30am - 12:30pm and a limited amount of spaces are still available.

Is it the 'Big Three' or the 'Big Four'?
Just when you thought Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were all set to divvy up golf's biggest prizes, along comes big-hitting Dustin Johnson. The US champion is now number two in the world and looks to be finally fulfilling his potential after another fine win at the weekend - and a big one too at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. For years Johnson seemed destined to be the bridesmaid, now he's one of the favourites to go back-to-back in Majors and take the Claret Jug back across the Atlantic.
Next week's Open at Royal Troon could be a classic
Which leads us on to a new section of our website - our regular poll, and we want your votes. Tell us who you think will win the Open Championship next week; will it be Day, Johnson, Spieth, McIlroy or A.N. Other?
